No stone is being left unturned by Opel ahead of its Formula E entry next season, with all decisions under its control.
Opel’s team principal and motorsport director, Jörg Schrott, disclosed that the Formula E outfit will have all decisions made internally, setting a distinctive organizational structure.
The German manufacturer, a Stellantis-owned entity, declared its entry into Formula E for the upcoming Gen4 season, establishing a brand-new team identity.
Distinct from the current DS Penske team, Opel’s entry maintains a Stellantis presence in the championship as the first full factory team.
Schrott emphasized that Opel will have sole decision-making authority, from driver selection to team operations, ensuring a streamlined and focused approach.
Speculation swirls around potential drivers like Theo Pourchaire, heightening anticipation for Opel’s full factory debut and competitive capabilities.
Opel is leaving no stone unturned in its meticulous preparations for the upcoming season, recognizing the challenges of competing in a high-caliber world championship.
Schrott outlined a dedicated and precise team structure, emphasizing the need for focus, efficiency, and agility to navigate the rigors of Formula E’s demanding competition landscape.
